Saturday 5th September 2026
2pm – 4pm · £80 per person

An afternoon of moss, stems and slow conversation — building something with your hands, and then building something together.

Learn to create your own beautiful natural floral sculpture to bring home and enjoy afterwards.

We'll work with moss, stems, seedheads and the last of the late-summer flowers — building something that feels less like an arrangement and more like a small piece of ground. There's no right way to do it. You follow the stem, turn it, put it somewhere, move it again. Most people find an hour has passed without noticing.

Once every sculpture is made we bring them together, joining yours to everyone else's to form one long tablescape, then styling it as a group with candlelight, lanterns and whatever the flowers ask for. Everything is built foam free with reusable mechanics — when the flowers fade the structure stays, so you can make it again through the seasons that follow.

This isn't a class where everyone works in silence. Talk to the person beside you, swap stems, ask what they're doing and why. The bar at the Artist's Cup stays open throughout, so you are very welcome to pick up a glass of wine or a very good coffee to keep beside you while you work. Slowing down, connecting with each other and getting properly lost in the process is the whole point of the afternoon. The sculpture is what you take home; the two hours are what you come for.

About the Artist's Cup

The Artist's Cup is a small art gallery on Battersea Rise that quietly refuses to behave like one. They play music, pour wine, make very good coffee, and talk about art in whatever way feels natural to you — no invitations, no appointments, no need to feel like an expert.

It's the gallery you wander into on the way home, or gather in with friends on a Saturday morning. Which makes it exactly the right room for an afternoon like this one.
